The leader UP 8086 is a brand new heavy c45ah built in 2013 specifically for the I-5 corridor, they are 8 tons heavier then the standard es44ac which is intended to help fix the problem of trains stalling on the hill out of Oakridge. |

leading this Northbound intermodal. The 8086 is a brand new 2013 heavy gevo which is 8 tons heavier then the standard es44ac which is intended to keep trains from stalling on the hill out of Oakridge. The other two are both 2012 series, es44ac and sd70ace respectively, making this one great looking set of power to creep through the shaddows of the setting sun on the last day of Summer 2013. Note to editor: UP 8086 locomotive model designation needs fixing. |
