Description: |
Could very probably be the last picture with the searchlights at CP VP 618. Their replacements have already been set up a few blocks North, at Mohawk Jct. |

Green, Brown and White All the Way |
Description: |
At this time, most of the Cascades trainsets were operating with either Phase 5 Genesis units or NPCU or with the King Tut painted unit. I believe this was the only one we caught (including the two i rode on this trip) to be wearing the complete scheme. |

Amtrak Cascades, Clear Signal North |
Description: |
Had a short conversation with the engineer while the train was stopped in the depot. He was very nice and says he much prefers the Amtrak GE locomotives over the EMD like this one, specifically due to less wheelslip. |

King Tut Fronted 506 About to be Passed By Its Successor Train |
Description: |
Train 506 lead by the King Tut painted unit had some kind of major malfunction causing the locomotive and train to stall for over three hours on the Colombia River Swing bridge, only about 9 miles into its Northward journey. On the right are the headlights of train 516, which is supposed to be hours behind it, passing it on the bridge. |
