Bloody Nose SD9 |
Description: |
One of the last scarlet and gray first generation EMDs at Albany. For most towns, finding two might be heaven for some SP fans, but with both LLW units repainted (one in PNWR orange, another into full SP black widdow, yes beautiful, but also seemingly disappeared off the map entierly as well) and the AERC 3859 repainted, two is nothing compared to what couldve been seen only a few years ago. There was also light snow falling, whicT is visable if you look for it. |

A Few Different Faces |
Description: |
Some cascade green and one ugly "black dip." The 4368 ran around in this scheme for many years after the POTB attemted to repaint her out of bloody nose and into black widdow (wouldve been the potbs six axle version of WPRR/PNWR 1801), but aborted the paintjob in the middle of the process. Was eventually repainted into yellow and orange "big cheese" scheme mere months before the line was destroyed. |

Cadillacs Through Sellers Road Wig-Wag |
Description: |
The 4368 was in the process of changing out of its "black dip" scheme, an aborted attempt to repaint "bloody nose" scheme back into SP's "black widow", before it'd finally wear its short-lived "big cheese" scheme. |

T-Minus 9 Months Left For This Classic Railroad |
Description: |
Active wig wag, two cadillacs, full SP light package, but the POTB had only about 9 more months before the big storm would permanently decomisson the POTB railroad in early December. The 4368 had been running around in a rather ugly aborted attempt to repaint it back into SP's Black Widow colors for much of its life on the POTB, but around early 2007 it was returned to primer as seen here and then repainted into a unique POTB scheme that would last only months before the lines end. Both locomotives have since been scrapped, and the wig-wag removed but preserved only yards away from its original home. All POTB locomotives were GP and SD9s. The 4368 and 4414 were the oldest POTB locomotives on roster, being transfered to the Port in 1986, with only the 4381 arriving earlier but it was wrecked in 1999. The rest of the SP fleet and the 101 were transfered around 1993, and the BN fleet around 2002. (Somewhat edited and straightened version of a photo I've already uploaded.) |

Coast Switcher |

I can onpy guess that this is the switcher that operates along the coast near Garabaldi that is parked in Tillamook. The line is shut down due to floods but the area where the coast switcher operates is not damaged so i dont know if this train is still running. |

Heisler and SD9 Meet |
Description: |
The OCSR passenger train goes in the hole at Garibaldi to allow the POTB freight to pass through and head to Tillamook. The OCSR excursion railroad would thankfully go on to grow and expand, but the POTB freight line would be wiped out by a storm in only a few more months and never recover. |

Shut Down |
Description: |
It's new years day 2008, and besides the missing numberboards on many of the locomotives, Tillamook Yard looked like it had for many years; hoarded with first generation EMDs parked around a few old buildings, but freight operations didn't last passed 2007 after a heavy storm in December severed the line in two. |

One of two cutcabs on the POTB, this one was already being set aside as a parts source due to having a broken crankshaft and was one of the first locomotives to be scrapped after the storm. The other cutcab, POTB 6139, has gone on to have new life on the roster of the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Garibaldi. |
