In 2007 catching a manifest with this kind of lash up was already a rare thing, after 2008 catching any of these at all in active duty would become increasingly rare as more GEVOs and SD70ACes began flooding UP's roster, while the C40-8s and SD60s were largely taken out of service and placed into storage in many of Union Pacific's larger facilities. The remaining locomotives in CNW paint were also slowly being repainted too, however UP 9771 has managed to avoid the paint booth at least into 2022, although it has been in storage for the last few of those years. Location is Meadowview Road.
